  • Explore post-production techniques for location-based audio, ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement), and 5.1 and 7.1 audio mixing.
  • Comprehend the acoustic properties of audio in different environments and employ various acoustic treatments to enhance sound quality.
  • Learn about live sound workflows and techniques for conferences, concerts, and events, including familiarity with equipment and live consoles.
  • Cultivate a mindset of lifelong learning, allowing you to excel in any environment with a profound understanding of technology and audio.
  • Master the art of Game Sound Design using FMOD and its integration with UNITY, gaining competence in game audio production.
How you will spend your time:

During a semester on campus, students will be engaged in approximately 320-350 hours of class attendance, encompassing both theoretical and practical aspects.

Students will advance in their specialization subjects from Semester 1 to Semester 4, gradually enhancing their understanding of fundamental to intermediate Sound Engineering Concepts. In Semesters 5 and 6, they will delve into advanced concepts actively work on their Major Projects, and participate in Internships or Fieldwork.

Each semester will feature two Mid-Term Examinations and three assignments, collectively serving as the internal evaluation that determines a student’s eligibility to sit for the Semester End Examination.

Teaching Methodology

Given the course’s practical focus, students enrolled in the B.Sc. Sound Engineering program will dedicate approximately 70% of its time on campus. This time will be primarily spent within Recording/Production Studios or the iMac Laboratory, where they will actively engage in project work, complete University Assignments, and participate in practical sessions led by our highly skilled faculty members.

In addition to these hands-on activities, classroom-based learning will encompass Smart Lectures, Seminars, Presentations, Group Discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions, enriching the overall educational experience.
